Star of stage and screen Lucy Durack is set to wow the audiences at this year’s FREE City of Playford Community Christmas Carols, to be held at Fremont Park on Saturday 1 December.

Lucy is busy as ever, the Wicked, Wizard of Oz and Legally Blonde the Musical star recently appearing on the Spicks and Specks Reunion on the ABC. The City of Playford’s Kate Hayward recently caught up with Lucy to find out what you can expect from the popular performer at our big Christmas bash, and what she’s up to next:
KH: How excited are you to perform at the Playford Community Christmas Carols? LD: So excited! I love carols and I have heard these carols are really special.
^^ Lucy Durack sings Silent Night.
What can people expect from your performance? I am looking forward to singing some classics Joy to the World and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas whilst wearing some very sparkly dresses.
What Christmas carol favourites will you be performing? Well I am particularly excited to be singing O Holy Night, which is my all-time favourite carol.
Why do you love singing Christmas carols? No matter what you believe in, Christmas is a great time to reflect on the year and be grateful for what you have and it often is a great chance to reconnect with loved ones.
^^ Lucy Durack sings Joy Joy
What’s next for Lucy Durack? I’m currently filming a TV show that will be released in 2019, and am looking forward to singing in a few different symphony orchestra concerts around the country in 2019 as well.
See Lucy Durack, Mark Anthony with his Elvis Christmas tribute and the Australian Girls Choir and the Playford Carols Band at the FREE Playford Community Christmas Carols at Fremont Park on Saturday 1 December.
